Leslie Franklin Blossom Obituary

BLOSSOM, LESLIE FRANKLIN Of Concord passed away Sunday at
Allegiance Health at the age of 87. Surviving are his wife
of 61 years, Pat; sons, Kent (Teresa) Blossom Wilmington,
NC, Mark (Lynne) Blossom of Concord, Paul Blossom of Concord
and Adam Blossom of Holt; daughters, Sue (Dave) Langolf of
Traverse City and Donna Lue (George) Schuhmacher of Traverse
City; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren;
sister, Lola Hart of Hanover. Preceded in death by five
brothers. He graduated from Addison High School in 1942 and
served his country in the Army during WWII in the 34th
Division, receiving 8 medals.. After his honorable discharge
as a Staff Sergeant he received a Bachelor of Science from
Eastern Michigan University and a Masters Degree from
University of Michigan. He worked in public education for 40
years,, retiring from Jackson Public Schools in 1989. He
enjoyed spending time with his family, reading and
reminiscing about his military service. The family will
receive friends on Saturday May 12, 2012 at Lauer Family
Funeral Home in Concord from 11 AM until time of services at
12 Noon with Rev. Dr. John Doud officiating with Military
Honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider
